Loctor Mayat’s Autopsy

So last Monday when I was sending UltraBen to the babysitter, she told me that the other kid she is taking care of is having the Coxsackie virus that causes the common Hand Foot & Mouth disease in children. Hence, I made plans to bring him back from the sitter before that other kid arrives at her home in the afternoon.

Unfortunately, even though with a no-contact period between UltraBen and that other kid, the virus somehow jumped from one place to another and eventually landed on UltraBen.

Hence, yesterday after seeing that the rashes on his legs are getting serious, we decided to bring him to the hospital and consult the doctor. After a few questions and check, the doctor confirmed that UltraBen is already infected with the Coxsackie virus. Aiyo…

No wonder for the past few nights, UltraBen haven’t been sleeping well and would cry in the wee hours of the night. Initially I thought that he is having teething problems and feeling uncomfortable from swollen gums, I guess I was wrong then.

So, the doctor admitted him to the HFM ward and gave him some medication, one of them I really like…. Piriton. LOL!!! After taking the medicine, it doesn’t take very long for UltraBen to fall asleep. Ha ha ha….

So anyway, UltraBen will be monitored from time to time until he gets better. There is no cure for HFM disease and most of the time, the body cures itself. The medication only helps with the discomfort, pain & itchiness. UltraBen is still active as ever and he even made a few moves on the hospital nurses. Naughty boy!!!

Yes… I know I know.. this blog has been collecting dust and dying off slowly. Do you know that, I haven’t been touching my camera for a long long time already? In fact, most of my shots are now taken using my Nokia big-ass-businessman phone E71.

If you think that the reason why I’ve abandoned this blog for so long is due to my son UltraBen. YOU’RE RIGHT! Woahahha

He is now 6 months ++ and growing up pretty well. Lately he just started his solid food intake and also learning how to crawl and sit. So, as a father.. I’ve been so busy whenever I’m at home spending whatever time I have with him. For me and Mrs Mayat, we do not have the luxury of our parents to help around taking care of UltraBen.

The usual weekday ritual is like this:

6:00am : Wake up and feed UltraBen his breakfast

7:15an : Leave home and send him to Baby Sitter

3:00pm : Mrs Mayat picks him up from Baby Sitter

6:00pm : Reach home and cook dinner, sometimes, take UltraBen down to the pool for a quick swim

7:00pm : Clean up and bath

8:00pm : Play with UltraBen

9:00pm : Feed UltraBen and put him down to sleep

Wah…. can be very tiring you know! Both of us are working to become a High Income Family (LOL) so lots of sacrifices need to be made. Yes, my photography is one of them so it’ll take a back seat for now. My D50 with 20mm F/2.8, 18-105mm VR, SB800 and SB600 should be seeing more action. Ha ha… sometimes feel kesian for them. Should I sell them leh? I also don’t know.. you tell me.

Nevertheless, Loctor Mayat is still around and is still very active online. In fact, if you are one of my friends in Facebook you’d see that everyday I will be there posting something laa.. haha.. don’t worry.. all online activities certified by UltraBen himself:

Another thing, for some strange reasons, lately I’ve developed a keen interest in home renovation/design/furnishing. I’ve done some upgrades to my rumah mayat and added some new furniture. In fact, not long ago I did another suicide day-trip down to the Swedish Embassy of Malaysia and got more than RM1k++ of stuff…

WOAHHAHA !!!

Sorry.. I don’t have so much free time to post how I set it up and all that review as I used to before.

but hor, I’ve been thinking that one day, I should document and blog down all about my upcoming home furnishing/design progress update. Maybe not now… perhaps… in 3 years time

Kamsiah kamsiah..

I figured that since my blog has been collecting some cobwebs and becoming a fertile ground for cyber-fungus to grow, I might as well do some ‘cleansing’ and write this post. Woahaha..

Okay… is it me or is the weather during this CNY is extremely HOT HOT HOT and nothing but HOT?? Wooowwshh…

It doesn’t really help that all the rooms in my apartment is facing the afternoon/evening sun. It’s sauna hot to sleep at night unless I switch on the air condition. It also does not really help at all that in addition to the heat, there are also a lot of mozzies flying around and disturbing us.

For many days I have been sleeping in the living room under the ceiling fan together with UltraBen. He is lucky as I placed a mosquito net over his bed so that he can sleep peacefully. On the other hand, I have been sleeping with just my pants on at night so that all the mozzies would bite my hi-fat body instead of UltraBen. Woahahhaa…. yeah… very sacrificial.

Since the paper mill was generous enough to give me some spare $$ this year (a.k.a Bonus), I have decided to give both Mrs Mayat and UltraBen a very cool ‘Ang Pow’. I went to the electrical store and ordered 2 units of Panasonic air-cond to be fitted in both UltraBen’s room as well as the Study/Store room. All, at the very kiamsiap™ price of RM1,960 including installation and materials. WOAHAHHAHAHA…. too bad the installers are very busy to fit the air conds before CNY due to over demand. Nevertheless, all the rooms would be more enjoyable to stay in from then onwards.

So on 30th night (that’s Feb 13th to you folks), we went to my aunty’s house to have the reunion dinner with grandma and the other relatives. It is actually the first in a very long time to have reunion with them for Chinese New Year because previously, me and Mrs Mayat would be traveling down to Tanjung Malim to visit Mrs Mayat’s mum. But to me, that means going to KL for the annual pilgrimage to THAT Swedish furniture shop to buy something. LOL… say what you want about the quality lah.. but none of my IKEA furniture stuff broke down or deteriorate over time. If it does then there must be something wrong with your home. WOahahhaa…

And on the 1st day of CNY (that’s Feb 14th to you folks LOL), we went back again to have a Nyonya lunch graciously prepared by all the aunties as well as grandma. All the aunties and uncles and grandma were very happy to meet up with UltraBen. He also has been very good and wasn’t fussy. In fact, I think he enjoyed the attention everybody gave him. LOL…

After that, we went back home where I had to take a long afternoon nap. Due to the hot weather, I woke up at 7pm with a slight headache
