Jalan-Jalan Tangkap Gambor to Taiping (Part 2)
So after spending 2 hours at Taiping Lake… it was time for lunch and our destination is none other than the famous ‘Majalah 3′ featured Mee Udang Banjir Mak Teh at Matang, located on the way to Kuala Sepetang.
Unfortunately, due to some incorrect settings on the Nuvi… it brought me to some bicycle trail and we end up in some kampung. Ha ha ha..
Luckily my passenger knows his way around Taiping and we turned back towards the main road before getting joining back with the rest of the team members and reached the little restaurant:
There are a few choices available but we’re here for what they’re famous for! Ha ha….
There is a RM8, RM10 and RM12 version and all of us opted for the RM10 version. Thank goodness there are very little customers and there are no flies too! (big contrast to what other people have been telling me before this trip)
So… what else? Here’s the Mee Udang Banjir:
WOOOOOOOOAAAAA!!!!!
SO MANY PRAWNS!!!
WHERE’S THE MEE ?!?!?!?!?!?!
Hahahahha… yeah. There are 10 BIG prawns in each bowl. The soup is slightly salty and spicy but it goes extremely well with the prawns and noodles.
All of us enjoyed it so much…
I was the only guy that jilat the last drop of soup….
HAHHAHAHAHAHA
And the aftermath of five bowls combined:
SHIOK AH !!!!
The cost of one bowl of mee udang with kopi ais is only RM11. Damn worth it and for sure I’ll come again!
…. to be continued (Charcoal Factory)
