Kiamsiap™ Challenge (Part #1)

Few minutes ago, I was asking Ted Adnan (the self-proclaimed Kiamsiap™ lighting dewd from Kajang, with bad grammars) on where can I find a good and cheap 3 x 6 feet diffusion panel which is equivalent to the Lastolite Skylight panels.

Bear in mind that the Lastolite kit costs about USD520++ if bought from Amazon.com. It is just WAY too much for something so simple.

So, Ted answered, “Bikin sendiri”

WOAHAHHAHAH!

Now… why I didn’t think of that earlier??

So, to make it all fun, we decided to challenge each other to make our own 3×6 feet diffusion panel using everyday’s material and tools.

The criteria is that it must be highly portable for on-location shoot, easy to set up and most importantly, CHEAP!!

Also, we are to keep receipts of the items we purchase to be used for the construction of our own Kiamsiap™ diffusion panel and show it at the end of the challenge which is Nov 15 10pm.

We need to take photos of the panels, photos taken using the panel and also a ‘behind the scenes’ shot of the panel being used.

For full information, just head over to the PhotoMalaysia.com thread here

Oh yeah.. it’s gonna be interesting!!

Stay tuned for Part II!!

(now… where do I find a good piece of fabric that only cuts 1-stop of light maximum)
