Jalan-Jalan Tangkap Jalan Penang

Well Last week Enche Juan (my Kiamsiap™ assistant from the Eunice photo shoot) ping-ed me asking when I want to do another photo outing before Mrs Mayat give birth, I told him anytime over the weekend is fine with me and he pun suggested the immediate Saturday. Ha ha…. how’s that for impromptu?

So last Saturday, even though it was drizzling a little bit here and there, me and several of my Kiamsiap™ friends walked over to the island and met up at the Sri Weld food court for Nasi Lemak breakfast then begin our “street shooting”.

Well, I must admit that I’m not an expert in this genre as I usually do not have the courage to go near people along the street and shoot them in their natural environment. So what I did was to hyperfocus my 20mm F/2.8 to F/8 and just roughly guesstimate the distance that I needed to be from away the subject.

Also, to avoid scaring the people on the street, I just loosely hung my camera on my neck and holding it near my stomach. While pointing the camera slightly upwards, I released the shutter discretely and just pretend to walk away from the scene I wanted to shoot.

However, some of the shots where the people is already comfortable with photographer’s presence, I just lift up the camera to my face and shoot as usual because they don’t mind at all. Ha ha ha..

So below here is a collection of several photos that I managed to produce last Saturday. Oh, since it was raining the rainwater washed away all the colors of my sensor too. Alamak…
